Ho sempre avuto un debole per le scatole di latta,
le mie prime sono tutte inglesi,
risalgono al mio periodo come au-pair quando il sabato scappavo a Portobello
e con le mie 40 sterline cercavo piccoli tesori...
le conservo tutte,
e questo piccolo astuccio è fra i ricordi più cari...
ma oggi, volevo parlarvi di altro e soprattutto volevo farvi vedere come si possono riutilizzare le vecchie latte,
facendone dei piccoli capolavori floreali!

l'unica accortezza è quella di posizionare all'interno della latta un piccolo contenitore in vetro o plastica, poiché come saprete , la latta non trattiene i liquidi.
e poi bon, se ne avete la possibilità potete chiedere al vostro florist una composizione particolare, oppure, se siete audaci, potete provare a farlo da sole, non ci vuole poi molto, no?

I've always had a weakness for tin boxes, the first ones I bought date back to the period I spent in England as an au-pair..when at weekends I used to go to Portobello flea market with my only 40£ weekly wage, to look for treasures. I still have all of them, and this tin pencil-case is one of my beloved ones. But today I wanted to show you something different, I would like to show you another way of using your vintage tins and turning them into beautiful floral centerpieces! the floral styling here is made by Oak and the Owl while the old tin boxes come from Found Vintage Rentals ( next post will be on them!)
Aren't they cute? The only attention to be paid consists in placing a glass or plastic container inside the tin box, since tin, you know, would not keep water inside. Ok, you can have a beautiful centerpiece like this perfectly made by a floral artist or you can DIY... which I think might not be that difficult!
