I'll show you a little coastal cottage,

once a fisher's house,

now recently renovated

and gorgeous indeed

rich in vintage, brocante and shabby-chic pieces

la cucina è raccolta

e adorabile,

le sedie tutte diverse, sono state trovate nei mercatini

tutta la casa

esalta le tonalità del rosso e del bianco!

The little kitchen is simply adorable,

the chairs, all different come from the flea markets

and all around white and red shabby touches!

in salotto mi piace il caminetto di mattoni rossi,

mi piace la luminosità della stanza

e il continuo richiamo al vintage

lo specchio alla parete è un tocco shabby favoloso..

I love the red-bricked fireplace here in the living room,

I love the light in this room

and the vintage atmosphere

then the shabby mirror on the wall leaves me speechless!!

Ciao,

con tutte le volte che sono stata in Inghilterra,

non ho mai pensato di spostarmi ad ovest

giù lungo la costa e di visitare la Cornovaglia..

...eppure mi sembra di conoscerla lo stesso

la immagino piena di piccoli villaggi di pescatrori,

dai caratteristici cottage lungo la costa...

un po' spartani, ma ricchi di fascino

proprio come questo!

down on the Cornish coast..

anyway, it's like I perfectly know it

I imagine its fishers' villages

the characteristic coastal cottages...

may be rather basic,

though so fascinating

Mi piace il pavimento a listoni bianchi,

all'interno tanti oggetti che parlano di mare, di vita sulla costa

I love the white wooden flooring

inside, many objects tell of the sea and of coastal life

I colori della costa, del mare e del cielo 

hanno ispirato la palette di colori utilizzata per la cucina

un match perfetto di bianco, grigio e pietra

per un classico look costiero e vintage.

Seppur il caldo in questi giorni non dia tregua,

penso a un luogo in cui vorrei essere

e immagino questo:

pieno di luce, il bianco ovunque, interrotto da piccoli punti di colore

che donano vivacità e charme
